Leon Historical Society

The Leon Historical Society was found September 17, 1978. The main purpose at that time was a very simple one, keep as accurate history of the town and its families. also, love and respect for the past. The historians wanted to insure corrections and truth of the way it was, the way it is now, and connecting the past and present. this was to insure that says a person who does not know history is doomed to repeat the mistake of the past.

About Me

LeonHistoricalSociety: We are non-profit organization working to restore and preserve the history of our great town. All of our fundraisers and events help us earn money for upkeep and maintenance on our buildings. We are always looking for new members who want to get involved and help explore the hidden histories in our town. We meet every last monday of the month from April to November with a Christmas program in early December. Come check us out and find some new history about in town.
